“Change itself is what fascinates me. I am drawn, as a moth to the flame, by edge situations, by situations of metamorphosis”

Annie Proulx

Our 2020 HLI Conference (Online) focused on resilience and service continuity during COVID-19. We had a great program that attracted over 150 online participants covering many elements of the modern workforce such as drawing on our inner strengths, the benefits of practicing mindfulness and gratitude, the agile workforce incorporating lessons learnt, as well as the emerging value of augmented and virtual reality in health sciences.

So what have we reflected on over the past year? After a challenging 2020, we would like to continue to learn more about how we – as knowledge management professionals, as subject specialists, as information literacy educators, as people in the health library space - are adapting to the constantly changing environment. We will welcome submissions that reflect on positive changes, unique opportunities and challenges overcome, as a result of our recent collective experiences.
