We are excited to be able to invite you to join us for our 15th Health Libraries Inc Conference on 19th October 2018. This year the program will include two key note speakers:
Keynote speaker 1 - James Quealy
Next generation learning: using research and co-creation to move from compliance to engagement to performance
James Quealy is an educator, senior manager and consultant with a background in organisational psychology and human factors. He has run large elearning systems for RMIT and Deakin Universities and worked as a consultant developing and delivering training courses and programs across many industry sectors. Through his work James has wide ranging experience in developing strategies and implementing plans to use educational technology to deliver successful efficient education and training in a way that drives staff engagement and organisational change. James is currently the Group Manager, Learning Support Services for Epworth HealthCare with responsibility for a portfolio that includes Knowledge Services/Library, Clinical Education and Simulation and eLearning
Keynote speaker 2 - Jenny Ellis
Changes and challenges in the Library-Publisher relationship
Jenny has had extensive experience in professional librarianship, gained at the University of Melbourne where she enjoyed many roles including Director, Scholarly Information, and University Copyright Officer. Jenny is currently employed at Macquarie University as Executive Information Policy Officer, with responsibility for strategically steering copyright and Right to Information at the University.Jenny's engagement with scholarly information has been greatly enhanced by her experience in managing copyright in the university sector. She has built a deep and abiding interest in issues related to access to information, scholarly information and publication, open access and copyright.
Jenny holds a BA(Hons) and postgraduate qualifications in IP Law and Information Management.
