Thank you to all those who have already renewed their membership. If you have not done so, please renew your membership via this link so we can be sure your information is up to date and we are able to contact you in the future. Colleagues are also most welcome to join, so please forward this email to them.
We’d like to encourage everyone to join us at our conference in October 2023, and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in presenting. Lightning talks are 10 minutes, presentations are 25 minutes, and we will also be offering workshops. Share your knowledge! Other health libraries would love to know what you have been up to – what works for you might work for them too, but only if they know about it.
Joint Conference – ALIA HLA and HLi
We are working closely with ALIA Health Libraries Australia (HLA) to organise a joint conference for health libraries in Melbourne. This will be the first face-to-face HLi conference since 2019. We hope that as many library teams as possible will attend together.
Save the date!
The conference will be held over two days on Thursday and Friday 19-20 October 2023. It will include conference presentations and workshops.
Call for abstracts
Abstracts are now invited for workshops, presentations (25 minutes) and lightning talks (10 minutes) on the below theme. Submissions can be made via this form by Friday 9 June 2023.
Evolving – Digital literacy, Digital health, Digital scholarship
Demand for digital tools, content and skills continues to be a driving force behind ongoing change in health libraries. Validating this shift in how we think about services and the move to online, this conference will celebrate examples of change and transformation.
Outreach – Engaging with clients and promoting services
Upskilling – Digital skills in roles and teams
Inequities – What are they and how can we respond?
Program and registration details will be added to our website when available.
